You shouldn’t feel pressure to get a “real girlfriend.” In fact, having a partner isn’t for everyone. Partners aren’t just about what they do for us. They have their own wants and needs and expectations.
It is entirely possible for most people to be fulfilled in life without a partner. A good partner Can be great to have, but simply settling on a partner because you feel a pressure usually isn’t a good thing for your happiness and life goals. You can have fulfilling personal relationships and be sexually fulfilled and even find romance and all sorts of things without a romantic partner. If you feel drawn to a person or have looked at your life and realized what you want is a life with a partner and not just to fill some hole in yourself or for some codependent reasons or validation; but that you have a genuine want- go for it.
If you are honestly happy in your own company and living the life you want, do what makes you happy. You aren’t a “loser” because you choose not to have a partner. You aren’t somehow broken, you shouldn’t feel ashamed or embarrassed. One measure of success is your ability to live the life you want to live, or close to it as practical. Are you doing that? If so, and if that doesn’t include a partner or a partner isn’t a priority in your version of life, do you.
