What you don't realize is that it appears the man is twisting the guy's foot, hurting his ankle. He IS helping.

...Well, you didn't say it, so therefore it's my idea. See, you said he was keeping the guy from kicking. I said he was twisting his foot. These are two different things that don't equal each other. (e. g. In PE (or, really, any gym-thing), if you ever had to do sit ups for something, someone had to HOLD your feet down, not TWIST YOUR ANKLE. See the difference?)
