Because she's constantly complaining about her failed "relationships" when they were hardly relationships in the first place, she's childish, and immature.
You can't thumbs down this comment. It's true about her constantly singing about her "failed" 13 relationship, and anyway she was signed a country contract not a pop contract
Thank you for agreeing with me.
Anyways, there's other reasons that I dislike her. The one that sticks out in my mind right now is an incident between her and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler (who are amazing). So Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were hosting some awards thing together and cracking jokes all night and they made one about Taylor Swift. Just one or two, maybe. Anyways, Taylor Swift calls them out on it and starts talking about how "women should stick together and stick up for each other" and was just altogether bashing them when Amy Poehler and Tina Fey made one tiny joke about her. There were plenty of other people who were the butt of their jokes all night long and somehow Taylor Swift was the one getting defensive and upset. It's bullshit.
So THAT'S why people hate Taylor Swift (I don't hate her, I reserve that for rapists and murderers and such, I just really dislike her). It's behavior like that that people are getting tired of.
Well you know what's childish and immature? A person who just looks at the bad things somebody has done. She is amazing, she even donates to charity. And so what if she got offended, wouldn't you? If you won't, I know your just saying that. And if her songs are all about her relationships, does that affect your life somehow? I don't understand why people think she wasn't in a real relationship, if a unfamous person did that, nobody will care, but if it was a celebrity, suddenly the world ends. Don't judge a book by its cover
Alright, that's your opinion. And while I might be a bit embarrassed, there's no way I'm about to go into an interview and start complaining about people who were obviously joking. Like I said, I think that's immature.
Anyways, while I appreciate her donating to charity, that still doesn't make her childish and immature. Most celebrities donate to charity. I mean, they have so much money it'd almost be anarchy not to.
Also, it doesn't affect my life but you clearly made a comment so I was responding to your comment. Anyways, if an unfamiliar person dated a bunch of guys for a brief amount of time without it ever really getting personal (or so one would assume), don't you think they would be mocked for it? They'd most likely be called a slut or a bitch or something so Taylor Swift is actually getting the easy end of it. Especially if they wrote a bunch of songs complaining about it. Guys would avoid her like the plague.
It's just her way of talking about them. Actually, a lot of people aren't called names, and they date way more. Taylor Swift has pretty long relationships actually. They aren't really less than a year, or 2 or more in a year. She has worked hard to be famous, and just for people to judge her on her boyfriends? No, she didn't. Thanks to people like you, she can't really be seen with a guy, or else they are considered dating.
Like the Harry Styles relationship that last two months? Or the one with Joe Jonas that also last two months? The one with Conner Kennedy that last TWO MONTHS? This seems to be a recurring sequence.
She is sly and smart. While she has worked hard and I respect that about her, she's dated a lot of these said guys when they were at the height of the popularity, before making a hit song about them.
And I don't judge her because of her boyfriends, I judge her because she writes a breakup song about them, blaming them for everything, when they've only been dating for two months. It's ridiculous!
And, also, what in the fuck made you think that I think very guy she's with is her boyfriend? That's idiotic. I don't keep up with her enough to notice all the guys she hangs out with. While I'm sure the paparazzi might assume, she can always deny it. Besides, that's completely irrelevant to this conversation. I never said anything like that so it's not "thanks to people like you".
So what? She had boyfriends. For 2 months. She is an amazing person, who doesn't actually harm anyone. She may also have great reasons why they broke up.
If you have noticed, she isn't the only one who writes about breakups. For example: Adele, and even Bruno Mars.
Well, there's this Sex In the City line that says, "It should take you half the time you were with a guy to get over him." Or something along those lines. And Taylor Swift spends forever dwelling on her two month relationships which are barely relationships by now. And I never said she hurt people, I said she's childish, immature, and rude. And maybe they DO have good reasons why they broke up but I doubt it because she's dated each of these guys for two or three months at the most.
And fucking hell, have you not noticed the rest of this conversation? She always blames THEM in the breakup songs. She never takes responsibility that this might be her fault, it's always their fault. And do NOT compare Adele to Taylor Swift. Sure, Bruno Mars and Adele make breakup songs. But Adele's are mature and moving (unlike "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together") and I don't really listen to Bruno Mars (though Kingsley has made me hate "Grenade").
You know what? Why IS there a debate, don't you say I said things before, because I don't care at this point. I usually laugh at people who do that in the internet, and I'm still doing that. I'm laughing right now. Fighting on the internet? Wow, that will get us far in life
There's a debate because we disagreed and we're both arguing our points. Anyways, I enjoy debates and such (as long as they don't turn into the type where someone just starts calling you stupid or ugly or something when they begin to lose) which is why I'm having one with you.
Though, technically neither one of us is right seeing as this is a debate entirely on an opinion on whether or not Taylor Swift is perfect. I don't usually care much for arguments based on opinions, unless the opponent is based their opinions on incorrect facts, seeing as it holds no real basis. But either I've been in a particular need for a debate or something about your arguments stimulated me enough into going this far into our debate.
