I'll try. The numbers represent the number of bombs touch the square, diagonally counts. So the guy in the picture clicked on a square and it showed up 8 meaning there are 8 bombs directly adjacent to that square, which is all of them. So when he clicked randomly on another square the same thing happened. But say you clicked on a square and it said 3 that means there are 3 squares touching it that are bombs so you use multiple numbers to guess where the bombs are an avoid them. I have still only been able to beat easy difficulty games. Its kind of hard to explain without physically showing you but I hoped I helped a little.
