THESE PROBLEMS HAPPEN TO ME ALL THE TIME! Especially the biscuit one, I have to get a teaspoon to scoop it out but by then it's all soggy and I have to grab another biscuit.

But technically "American" could mean anywhere in South, Central, or North America and is not limited to the United States. But it does sound odd to say USAian.

Brits need to stop getting their panties in a twist. America does things differently. Get over it.

But it does annoy me when people freak out over the differences. There's been too many times where I've spelled it "realize" and an Australian or British person has told me it's wrong and when I explain to them that that's how we spell it in the U.S. and in Canada, they still insist it's wrong.

Americans do things differently. That doesn't make us right or wrong. Our way of life is different. We shouldn't be told we're doing things or spelling things wrong because we're not. We're doing things the American way. Britains do it their way and that's neither right or wrong. Everyone has their own culture.

Exactly! That's the mind-set that explorers and travelers had when most of the world was still undiscovered and look where that got us. Nobody's wrong, we're just different. Besides, several times in very old English books, the word "realize" was used instead of "realise", so some people even used it in England long ago.
