Wait I remember reading in a National Geographic magazine or maybe from watching a documentary or something that DNA does become unreadable after a certain amount if time but that they found something having to do with a mammoth frozen in ice that still had readable DNA that shouldn't have been readable simply because of some really rare circumstances.
Yes, I have heard that being frozen can extend the time line of decay, thus making Mammoth cloning perhaps within our grasp... but it is also said that it is still iffy.
I think it was the national geographic because one of them had the cover "We can, but should we?" About bringing extinct animals back to life. But anyway it wasn't just the frozen part. It was some special circumstances. Idk.
That's exactly how I see it. If it's something that only recently went extinct and it was human's fault than I think it would be okay but not things that have been extinct for a long time.
Well if you're wondering. A great, rapid flood would preserve all the fossils we find and explain how the mammoths that were frozen still have readable DNA. Because the world is only several thousand years old. :-) Just my belief and opinion. I'm not forcing it on anyone but it explains things quite easily if you want to take a look :-)
I'm sorry that everyone I'd entitled to their opinions EXCEPT Christians. I clearly said I wasn't forcing opinions on anyone just stating my own theory that fits the science we see perfectly. :-)
Again, I wasn't whining nor trying to force views on anyone. I was simply stating why this scientific phenomena occurs. However, if you'd rather look for more misspelled attempts at insults, I'll leave you to that.
Grace and Peace.
Not forcing your beliefs on others, eh?
What's your stance on evolution being taught in public schools? How about creation being taught in public schools?
I'm getting the feeling that I'm talking to Palin, here. The screenname doesn't help, either.
So you're not forcing your beliefs on anyone. What's the point of trying to explain how fossils work using the Bible? It seems like you're fine using science as long as it promotes your opinion, yet you ignore science when it proves that EARTH IS OLDER THAN A FEW THOUSAND YEARS! As a Christian myself, it's Christians like you that annoy me to no end. I can't even refer to myself as one comfortably, because of all the ignorance and hate associated with Christianity these days. Not that the old days were a picnic, by any stretch...
Btw, I find it cute how you hold spelling (intentionally wrong, I'll leave you to ferret out why) above the message.
*insert buzzwords implying I'm somehow above the conversation here*
I do not choose science and I simply do was not interested in a typed out debate that will truly change no one's mind. If you want to wonder what science says look it up yourself and remember what is and isn't sciene, dating sciences being known to be so far off (Mount Saint Hellans volcanic ash being said to be millions of years old that had been collected only weeks after the eruption itself.) And for the record it was John McCain who was referred as a maverick however my screen name has nothing to do with him as it it's purposely misspelled as well to be my own.
God bless
What if the cures for cancer, AIDS, etc could be found in ancient creatures like this, but we never found them because a few movies said it was a bad idea? That sucks even worse than not being able to pursue things like stem cell research because a vocal religious minority says it's immoral.
Grace and Peace.

Ugh.
