For any aussies; in america we call that a float. The most common being a root beer float.

We have floats in England too, but ours are cream soda floats because we don't have root beer much

Yeah I don't know what other countries call ice cream and soda. So I could only speak for america.

I went out of the country for an entire summer, and their "root beer" was like a non alcoholic malt and it was DISGUSTING.
