I never played guitar hero, i just like classic rock. Real music. There is this one girl in my class, the whore, that piped up and said, while the teacher was playing music while we worked, i heard that on guitar hero.

I'm just blue and asdf1234 I had somewhat of a similar situation once but the girl said what is that? I still think my chem is classical rock when I showed her some of that music and grunge. She hated NIRVANA!!!! D:

Me and my dad used to listen to it all the time. Now my husband and my kids listen to it. :)

Well when I was 9 I started listening to Freddie Mercury

I dont think anyone ever got me into it. I've just listened to it for as long as i can remember :) My parents arent into it nor are my friends and ive never played guitar hero or heard of rockband?? And i am most definitely not awesome so i dont really know where i fit in :(

Me and my family have special times when one of us puts on bohemian rhapsody, and the me, my sister and my dad rock out to it singing hard out.
I'm pretty sure my neighbours can hear us.

So, its somehow BAD when a kid finds love in rock music through guitar hero??? Lot of stuck up pretentious asshats imo. Who gives a shit whether they got it from their parents, friends, guitar hero, or whatever? What matters is the fact that they got into it. You aren't "better" than the kid that decided to like rock music because he played guitar hero. While I'm ranting, you also arent better than the kid that likes taylor swift or justin bieber. People like different things, have different opinions on what sounds better. It doesn't mean 1 person is right and 1 is wrong, they just have different opinions. @ all the "ugh I hate my generations music", its popular for a reason, BECAUSE A LOT OF PEOPLE LIKE IT. If there weren't a ton of people that enjoyed it, it wouldn't be popular. Also, pretty much every decade of music there were a lot of people that hated it and thought the "classics" were so much better....huh, so much has changed eh?

I don't listen to classic rock very often... But that doesn't mean I don't like it. I like a little bit (actually a lot) of all genres.

i love classic rock and my parents got me into it, i was just really lucky that guitar hero had a bunch of my fave songs on it.
