*serious mode on* I'll just assume this was taken somewhere, where you pay for gas per liter. A gallon are approximately 4 liters. So, 1.59 gas would actually be 6.36 gas. Sorry to ruin your illusion.

The lowest gas I've ever seen was in Georgia. It was about $2.16 per gallon

It's just really old. I remember my sisters bitching when gas crossed the $1 mark in the 90's.
