Yes but this is in relation to the problem of over crowded prisons in America. While I agree with you, you can still fight white collar crime with legislation to an extent, however the only solution for a violent offender is to take them out of society. If it becomes a priority issue with overpopulation of prisons, then Rons got the obvious answer.
I'm not sure I understand. Legislate all you want, if I'm willing to embezzle $200m, new laws aren't likely to change my mind.
Anyway, I'm in favour of there being a whole lot less people in prison, especially victims of this insane war on drugs. I just think the way it's written above needs a bit of qualifying. White-collar crime can be the most dangerous, I think. Just because it's not an immediate physical threat doesn't make it less harmful.
