Also there are several different types of "fire trucks". Some literally just have water on them and others have water, ladders, and other major equipment. So no. Not water trucks.

Ok good point. But those that do bring water should be called water trucks

They're called tankers or pumpers. Because they have water tanks. Or pump water to the hoses.

Uhh guys, I don't think any firetrucks bring water?? That's what fire hydrants are for and why there is one every so many yards, isn't it? The truck brings the firemen and all their supplies, including the hose, connect it to the fire hydrant and then out out the fire.

They. Bring. Water. There are several types that do. Quint, engine, tanker, pumper. They all bring water.

If a truck that does bring water can't make it, the hose will be attached to the hydrant.
