It is a doll, why do people care. And guess what, she isn't the only one out there that looks like she does. I don't see anything on how baby dolls are giving kids false ideas on how a newborn will look or act. Or how action figures are telling boys that they are not good enough unless they look like their muscles are about to explode. They are toys to help kids grow their creativity. Nothing more and if you think of yourself as ugly because you don't match up to plastic. Well you have something wrong with you on the inside not the out side.
What about bratz dolls? Besides it is just a doll, I had heaps of barbie, I don't have self image issues and I don't know anyone who does because of barbies
I never wanted to look like Barbie when I was a child. I wanted her jobs, her clothes, but I never wanted her body. Why? BECAUSE I WAS A FUCKING EIGHT-YEAR-OLD. Why does the body of a FUCKING DOLL matter to us at all. She. Is. A. Toy. Sometimes toys aren't realistic??? What a shocker! I'm really sick of people putting down my favorite childhood toy because of bullshit like "She isn't realistic!" and "She's bad influence because of her body-proportions!" She's a doooooooooooooll. I may sound a bit redundant, but people need to see how silly they sound.

It just so happens that a lot of the places we talk about ourselves happen to have people from other countries on them. If I went to some Chinese website where everything was in Chinese and everybody was talking and just assumed something because thats how Chinese people do it, should I get mad at them for not thinking of every other country and including them?
As to the actual post, I think the whole Barbie thing is ridiculous, its a doll. There are plenty others just like it that don't receive all the negativity Barbie does, and there are plenty of boy "dolls" with unreal expectations too.
