My thoughts and plans have been put into picture form. I knew I wasn't crazy. I have a picture of freedom in my head, the life surrounding me doesn't let me find my brush
I think some people forget that the majority of people who have ever lived, live(d) in horrible conditions without human rights. Lots of people born in a free society tend to take for granted the things we have, and treat it as a natural state of mankind, when in reality it isn't.
I'm not saying I'm not appreciative of the little things. What I'm saying is there should be another level of freedom. Where all mankind gets together to help for the greater good. I mean just an example : Catholic Church net worth : something like 2 billion or more / end world hunger : estimated 700 million. The church goes off the teachings of Christ. He said to sell your riches and give to the needy. The world is run by empires now. It's a game of who's on top.
Ever heard of giving a man a fish versus teaching a man to fish. Buying food for those who need it should not have to be anyone's responsibility, however teaching them to find their own food is something we can do.
I'm talking about the kids in africa/ poor countries in south america/ and chinese children suffering/ orphans and all. and you're telling me to teach all those how to fish? c'mon everybody needs some help some time. and of course there's errors in the bible, but if you were a true christian you'd learn what faith is. it's believing without a doubt/that no matter what, you still want to believe in god and jesus/ true faith must be practiced the way jesus taught. I'm just a philanthropist. I want to help the world. But i'm in no position :T but it's ok. because i have faith that i'll be in a better position and able to help everyone. God Bless
kingchris, I get the messge you are giving but okay there have been people who have donated way more than 700 million dollars to end hunger, so I think you numbers may be a little off
Right. Because a one time payment will end hunger for everybody who is in poverty every day for the rest of their life. Poverty is a growing issue. The answer is not for the ultra rich to donate, it's for the ultra rich to stop getting all these free passes, tax breaks and loopholes, and for corporations to pay their workers a living wage. The issue with hunger in many countries is simply government corruption. Much of what is donated ends up in the hands of corrupt governments and not the poverty stricken people it was meant for.
you're right. But you know how easy and cheap at least some rice is and a little bit of soup maybe? it'll last them a good while, and they'll be happy with that rather than nothing. and the world needs to acknowledge we are ALL EQUAL. But now I'm going into fairy tale land. But you watch, I'm going to help everyone I can in my life.Ef yo thoughts you negative popreachers of negativity!
People also forget that in reality, we can do anything we want. It's all about the outcomes that we worry about. Society in general needs to learn how to just live. Basically every thing that humans value revolves around money.
Six of the items on that list are actually quite optional. And people fought hard to make "go to school" something some parents could opt out of, what at one time children being forced to work rather than get an education. Then there's people fighting for the right to "get married" from the gay/lesbian community.... Not saying everything is peachy but imagine how it would be to live a hundred and fifty years ago if you weren't a straight, or white, or really did not care much for Jesus but liked to worship Thor, The God of Thunder. You can totally do all that now and no one cares much about that except Loki.
Drink water. Breathe air. Eat food. Have a beating heart. Exist. Walk. Talk. Then repeat to yourself, I am free.
Just think about it for a second.
No job= no money and little contribution to the rest of the world
no school = little knowledge
No marriage = alone and unloved (unless you decide to just date for the rest of your life, that's completely allowed. Or just asexual, also allowed already.)
Don't obey the law = jailed, and probably doing things to harm others.
No taxes = freeloading for things like roads, parks, stoplights. And jailed.
If you didn't do any of these, you'd be a broke, jailed, homeless, idiotic, psychopath who died alone and unloved without ever giving anything to the world.
Stop acting like you're so oppressed when you DO live in one of the most free countries on the planet.
