Jeeze... At my mom's house, this even happens with Comcast bundled services. F*cking cable Internet and it dies when the phone rings.

I'm assuming you mean the wifi goes out when the phone rings, tell them (or do it yourself) to change the channel of the wireless. Its on the same frequency as their phone which is why its interrupting the wireless signal.
