There is in Norway at least, I just figured it was like that i America too, but i may be mistaken. You can start kindergarten as a baby here, and it lasts until you start school at 5 or 6 (depending on what time of year you're born). The last year of kindergarten is also called pre-school, but it's a part of the kindergarten ;)
Oh that's cool. Here you have the option of if you go to pre-k (pre kindergarten) at age 4 or 5 (also depends on birth month). If you don't then you go to kindergarten. We do have preschool but often it's a daycare that happens to teach you some basics
When I was in kindergarden, I was too the only one who could write some words or sentences. So this guy who was a year older asked me if I could write his wishlist on a paper. I thought it was a pain to write all that stuff so even though I really liked that guy, I just drew a bunch of squiggles and dots and cirkles and stuff, telling him, that I had in fact written down eveeything he said. He gave that thing to his parents, wonder what must've gone through their heads when their son handed them his wishlist consisting of no actual words.
