I was actually going to say something similar though, I wanted to know if there was symbolism behind the size differences, or did the artist just...?

I think the artist just....maybe wanted to point out that he's the main caracter ?

It' probably because the artist tried to make him look older.

Or because he's the center of attention in the cartoon. It doesn't really matter.
