Not insensitive, many domesticated ducks have become so specially bred that inbreeding occurs and well, they loose their instincts and develope "ticks." Topknot didn't have any ticks that I was aware of but the water bowl in the enclosure was probably deeper than it should have been. The chickens were smart enough.

I have to agree! Many of us actually strive to help and look out for others so we are far from selfish. We cannot change how the rich keep getting into Congress and making changes that continuously benefit them, they are the selfish and hated. That's like making the generalization that Americans are all fat, or all Irish are angry red-headed drunks. It's highly inaccurate and plain and simple RUDE.
