This was only a concept by the way. They're disposable batteries made of cardboard. It was supposedly an "environmentally friendly" design, because they're "biodegradable". But there's a problem. The case is biodegradable, but we can't yet make biodegradable batteries, so the actual BATTERY inside would just murder the environment. And we can't make that much power that small yet for cheap, which is part of the point. So don't expect them any time soon.

I used to have this clock that, for whatever reason, insisted on beeping on the hour. Even at night. Every hour. Beep. Beep.
So I unscrewed the back, found the beeper, and cut it out. No more beeping.
.
The thing that beeps in cheap electronics is almost always a Piezo Buzzer. It's cheaper than a full blown speaker, and it only beeps (can't make all the sounds a speaker can). They look like this:
http://bit.ly/1B6PpFp
Conveniently enough, they have no impact on the rest of the circuitry when cut out. In fact, it looks like this guy did the same with his microwave:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITHDE-vFaiw
.
Might be something to try, but of course, there's no turning the beeping back on, aside from soldering it back in.

A 3D printer makes real objects, generally out of plastic. There are different machines all classified as "3D printers" that use different materials, but generally people are thinking of the plastic-printing ones.
.
It can make anything, from LEGOs to figurines (even a mini-you) to mechanical parts to weapons (that's scary). Here's a website dedicated to sharing things that can be printed:

You can get a cheap one for a few hundred bucks. Nearly all colleges and universities have them, and most of the time students can use them if they pay for materials (which are dirt cheap). I believe the local public library in my town even has one for the public to use.
.
It sounds like some sort of advanced futuristic sci-fi thing, but if you look around, you can probably find one that you can use. It's worth it.

In case you're unfamiliar with programs on TI calculators, you make a program by pressing the PRGM button (it's in the middle, third row down). Press the right arrow to go over to "NEW" and press enter to create a new program. Give it a name. Now enter the code above.
.
To get "ClrHome", press PGRM, RIGHT, and then 8, in that order. To get "Repeat", press PGRM and then 6 in that order. To get "Input", press PGRM, RIGHT, and then 1 in that order. To get "Str1", press VARS, 7, and 1 in that order. To get "Disp" press PGRM, RIGHT, and then 3 in that order. To get "End", press PGRM and then 7 in that order. Everything else is on the main buttons. Use the ALPHA key and the + key to get the quotes.
.
To run it, press PGRM again and scroll down in the list to your program (it may be the only one in the list). Press enter to run it.
.
Don't be too evil.

This is an excellent prank for people who don't know much about TI Calculators. Put this program into someone's calculator while they aren't watching:
.
ClrHome
Repeat 0
Input "",Str1
Disp expr(Str1)+randInt(-5,5)
End
.
Then run it. Five lines, pure evil. It adds a number from -5 to 5 to every calculation, so all their answers will be between five less and five more than the actual answer. It only stops when you push the "ON" button to break the program. It also stops when you make an error, like divide by zero. See it in action on a TI-84 CSE ( http://bit.ly/1xa6m36 ). It works on all TI-83 and TI-84 calculators to date.

What? That's not how solar panels work. Perhaps you're thinking of this:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/brightsource-solar-plant-sets-birds-on-fire-as-they-fly-overhead-1.2739512
That's not solar panels, it's mirrors that reflect all the light on to boilers. Completely different technology. Solar panels do not do this. In fact, if they did it'd be rather inefficient. Solar panels are designed to absorb energy, if they reflected light (light is energy) away, they'd be poorly designed.

I looked up how much power solar panels provide per square foot and found various results: 12 Watts, 8-10 Watts, 20 Watts. Obviously it varies with amount of light, so weather and time of day affect it. Let's go with 8 W per square foot of solar panel, since that's the lowest I found.
.
So how long are those solar panels producing energy? Let's make this easy and say 12 hours a day. Again, the length of a day varies throughout the year and depends on where you are, so this is oversimplified. That means that each square foot of solar panel produces:
8 Watts * 12 Hours * 365 Days = 35.04 kWHr (that's kilowatt hours) every year.
.
How much electrical energy do we, as a planet, use every year?
21,695,696,250,000 kWHr
.
So we'd need about 619 billion square feet of solar panel, or an area of about 149 x 149 miles. This isn't that far off, here's my area with Algeria to scale (since apparently that's how we represent large areas).

Also, anyone claiming that the drawings are evidence is making the assumption that they are drawn to scale, which is something we simply could not know. Because that's the truth: we don't know.

Also: ALL the governments of the world are working together to hide something from the people? Really? Since when does government work together?

Fact? Maybe a hypothesis, but definitely not a fact. The only "evidence" I could find of it was some drawings ( http://bit.ly/1wz6bfL ) and the finger in this post. And it seems it's mainly spread by anti-evolutionists (check out where that image came from: http://bit.ly/1zYpuQw ).
.
Here's an excerpt from another website: "The question is, why would Governments around the world hide this from the people? To answer this question I turn to Darwin, which takes you to a dead end if you follow this path. Right now scientists are trying to make the world believe we descended from apes, however, Giants were never part of that theory...The human mind would become so curious that we would then be asking the Governments of the world: “What else are you hiding from us? Do aliens exist? Does NASA really know where our moon came from?" ( http://bit.ly/1GJ27uC )
