Did you even read the article? The guy commented to them that "I had not heard of the shrine until I read about it on Pam’s blog a few weeks ago."
.
That isn't the solution; he hadn't even heard of it until she mentioned it. I'm not saying there really is a chest out there, as no one could no for sure except Fenn, but this is not proof of anything.

Have some fucking sources:
.
This seems to be a source of the myth:
http://www.psych2go.net/people-swear-lot-tend-honest-loyal-upfront-friends/
.
Read the first sentence, it refrences this article:
http://www.psychologicalscience.org/index.php/publications/observer/2012/may-june-12/the-science-of-swearing.html
.
But nowhere there does it mention the word "honesty", except in the comments. The cited sources, while scientifically valid, do not mention honesty. So where did this come from? Hell, I don't fucking know.

I find this highly fucking unlikely, cause I couldn't find any bloody sources to support it! The only studies I could find mentioned that swearing is associated with type A personalities, and people with type A personalities also happen to tend to be honest. What kind of shitty correlation is that? I mean what the fuck? That's certainly not science, I'd like to slap the bitch that came up with that one.

He has also revealed that:
1. The treasure is not associated with any structure.
2. The treasure is not in a graveyard.
3. The treasure is at 5000 ft. above sea level.
4. "The treasure chest is wet."

"As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
And hint of riches new and old.
.
Begin it where warm waters halt
And take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.
.
From there it's no place for the meek,
The end is ever drawing nigh;
There'll be no paddle up your creek,
Just heavy loads and water high.
.
If you've been wise and found the blaze,
Look quickly down, your quest to cease,
But tarry scant with marvel gaze,
Just take the chest and go in peace.
.
So why is it that I must go
And leave my trove for all to seek?
The answer I already know,
I've done it tired, and now I'm weak.
.
So hear me all and listen good,
Your effort will be worth the cold.
If you are brave and in the wood
I give you title to the gold."

The person has to be someone you don't know, in all three variations of the story. So it couldn't be you or a family member. Well, maybe...

You can watch the show online, but you'll have to settle for English subtitles, as it's a Norwegian show.

Height party? 16 comments
funstats · 9 years ago
Everyone was made exactly 2 meters tall for this social experiment. So unless you were 2 meters (6 ft 6 in) tall, no leg cutting would occur. People taller than that couldn't participate I guess.

There was a vote for the 25th. That is, they had the people of the districts vote rather than randomly choosing tributes, to remind them that it was their fault. No more than 23 died.

Hmm, now that you mention it, there were other tributes mentioned in the books from past games, so maybe they actually went and removed all the mentioned tributes and came up with 1678.
I'm not going to do that, so I'll just take their word for it.

I'm not sure where these numbers are coming from.
.
There were 75 Hunger Games and we know:
- For 72 of them, 23 people died = 1,679 deaths
- For the 50th Hunger Games = 47 deaths
- For the 74th Hunger Games = 22 deaths (both Katniss and Peeta survived)
- For the 75th Hunger Games = 18 deaths before interruption, as counted from the book
.
That's a total of 1,766 deaths.
Unless there was something else mentioned in the past games that I'm missing. I haven't read the books in a while, if you know something comment!

FACT: Three is the most Friday the 13ths that can be in any one year. If there are three, they will always be in February, March, and November. (Unless it's a leap year, then they'll be in January, April, and July).
