There are six of them. The newest three are Airbus A330's.
HelloKitty is not an airliner or an airline. Not sure what batmon is thinking...

Couldn't pass this one up without mentioning the vsauce video that mentions it. In my opinion, it's one of the best ones he's made. I highly recommend it!

This is the Koryo Hotel. It's finished, and they do use it. Foreigners stay there when visiting the country:

You're probably thinking of the Ryugyong Hotel, the tallest building in North Korea, which is not finished and perhaps never will be.

Oh, and it doesn't seem as though any nation has a swallowtail flag. The state of Ohio does, and several countries have a swallowtail design for their naval ensign, but no national flags...

Are you trying to insinuate that the OP is NOT the person mentioned in the post? Are you trying to say this was reposted from another website?
.
Just to clarify, Memeful puts text on pictures. They are not a humor site. The OP likely used the site to put their own custom text on their own picture. However, in this case, a quick Google search does reveal that this was posted on other sites before FunSubstance, so it is not original content.
.
Realize that just because a watermark from some website is on a post does not mean it's not original content. Memeful is just a generator, nothing more.

Both do. We had no texting plan for a while and you do pay 25 cents per message to receive. We had AT&T, but a quick search reveals Sprint and Verizon do the same thing (slightly different prices). This isn't uncommon or something, at least in the United States.
.
In what country do you NOT have to pay to receive a text message? Is this only in the United States? I never really thought about it, but if that's the case maybe this freedom is getting out of hand...

Science Side: Science side to the resc--
Math Side: HOLD UP JUST A MINUTE!
Science Side: wha-
Math Side: That there! You see that?
Science Side: What are you talking about!?
Math Side: That, that there's a negative sign. See it? "...splitting an atom of U-235 releases only 3.38x10^-11 Joules of energy" That's 10^-11. Negative. As in, .0000000000338 Joules, NOT 338,000,000,000 Joules as our confused guest has concluded.
Science Side: So the guest is off by 22 orders of magnitude?
Math Side: You got that right! The amount of energy isn't enough to boil a nanogram of water, let alone the entire ocean. Remember kids, don't forget your negatives!
Science Side: Wow, way to steal the show.
THE END!

Wat. Look up the definition of jealous (just Google "define:jealous"):
"feeling or showing envy of someone or their achievements and advantages"
.
Sounds like jealousy describes this situation perfectly, and they even use envy in the definition. Yes, jealousy CAN mean feeling you will lose something you have, but words have many meanings and that is not its primary meaning in current times. Currently, envy and jealousy are synonyms.
(Thesaurus lists "envy" as the definition of jealousy: http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/jealousy )

This parrot was also the first (and only) animal to ask an existential question. He asked "What color am I?" and learned that he was grey. No other animal besides humans has ever asked such a question.

Good guy Pope Francis 7 comments
funstats · 9 years ago
You hold up there just a second! That article specifically says that the Philippine government did this before the Pope's arrival. This is not the doing of the Pope, of the church, or of religion, so don't you go using it as a point against any of those things.
.
While reading the linked article I had to put my phone down for a second. The idea that anyone could do this to children is sickening. Especially considering the message the Pope is spreading. I'm surprised the Pope didn't demand to see these kids instead of the "orphan free streets". That'd show the government. (He didn't though.)

The system is designed to discourage the Bandwagon Effect:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandwagon_effect
.
Basically if one person down votes something, more people are likely to down vote it just because it has a down vote. If you see a comment with 10 down votes, or 100, you're more likely to just down vote it because everyone else is doing it. By not showing exactly how many down votes something has, it reduces the effect.
.
This is similar to the reason why the number of likes on a post is listed as ... for the first few minutes after posting. If the first few votes are negative, the post may still be good, and if the first few votes are positive, the post could still be bad. By not showing the vote count until a sufficient number of votes have accumulated, FunSubstance forces you to vote on your own and not just because other people have.

Is this on Android? I already wrote about Guided Access above, if that's what you're talking about. I haven't heard of "Guided Control".

Oh, and this sounds complicated (like, way too much to just show a picture to a friend), but it's not. Once you've set it up and used it once, you don't need to change the settings every time.
.
Simply:
1. Press home button three times. Your phone is now locked in to this page.
2. Hand phone to friend. Friend cannot move the page.
3. When you get it back, press home once and leave your finger on it for Touch ID to read your fingerprint. Phone unlocks, you continue using it as normal.

iOS has this option, but it's somewhat hidden. It's designed for use by companies that use iPads in public places (like as kiosks for showing product information or filling out surveys). Go into "Settings", chose "General", "Accessibility", and then "Guided Access". Turn it on, then go into the "Passcode Settings" and set a passcode. If you have a newer device, you can turn on Touch ID here as well.
.
Now, when you want to show someone something, triple press the home button. Guided Access lets you choose what to disable (buttons, screen, etc). You can even disable only certain parts of the screen if you'd like. Just triple click home again to exit (you'll have to enter the passcode or use Touch ID).
.
Try it out!
