And then theres the fact that the cost of building this. Connecting it to the rest of the planet and not to forget destroying the mountain it is on top of. Not to mention that the sahara desert is home to many animals and one of the seven wonders of the world. Also because of how dusty the sahara is it would need regular cleaning daily to work at a max efficiency and would make a grand total of 4072058watts per year! And the earth only uses 15terawatts per year so its pretty simple if we do all the maintenance required and somehow clear the desert mountain it will only take 10092 years for the solar panels to muster enough...
