People being equally valuable is a basic tenet of a free and fair society, its not just my personal opinion any more than your opinion on this is just your opinion. Your basically saying that if someone is below a certain threshold of prospects for their future its more okay to kill them. I don't agree with that. The baby deserves to live because its a person with as equal a right to life as anyone else and its not worth violating that right to save another person from the rigors of carrying and birthing a child. (Assuming that process doesn't pose a significantly higher risk than a normal pregnancy.)

It pretty ridiculous to assert that killing someone would ruin their life, and where did I say "because I say so"?

Socialized systems operate on a principal of trying to get the most out of the least amount of money.

Assuming that there is no increased risk at that age (which I suspect there is), yes.

If the child presents a significant risk to the mother (at least more than child bearing and birth normally pose, obviously) I have no problem with the child being aborted.

The speech itself isn't limited, it the action associated with or the intended result of the speech.

I don't think you need to get a Ph.D. to make that argument.

Hmm. That actually makes it seem slightly less ridiculous. I guess I'd need someone to label each individual one in order for me to grasp what I'm looking at.

I guess. I can't even make sense of the way they look. Aren't charging cords usually some sort or male-male configuration? Where do those female ends go, and why are some of them so wide?
