"Lepidobatrachus laevis" - it is Wednesday, my dudes. The meme frog is also very popular as a pet. Despite their stocky appearance and stubby limbs, they are quite intelligent and very aggressive when defending themselves. Unlike most frogs, they have a row of teeth on their upper jaw and two fangs on their lower one which they use to bite down on potential attackers. (AAAaaAAH!)

Is it me, or does he look like he gets progressively more disappointed with the nation he helped found?

"Micrixalus saxicola" - also known as the black torrent frog. A very rare species found only in rapid-moving forest streams in the mountains of western India. What sets them apart from most frogs, is that the female will bury her eggs in holes dug into the riverbed once they are fertilized. (This frog always seeds)

Fun isn't something one considers when sorting by Fresh. But this... does put a smile on my face.

"Cyclorana platycephala" - the iron bladder. Found in most parts of Australia, this frog can go for up to 5 years without drinking or eating by storing water in its bladder and entering a state of hibernation called aestivation. Indigenous Australians often use them for their water when out in the desert. (They're thirsty little flowers, and the frog must water them)

"Paedophryne amauensis" - Okay, so basically they're very smol. At 7.7 mm (0.3 in), they're the smallest known vertebrate. A relatively new species to science (hence the lack of a common name), they were discovered in 2009, in Papua New Guinea. Interestingly, they have no tadpole stage. So the baby frogs (called hoppers) are just tiny versions of the already tiny adults.

"Hoplobatrachus rugulosus" - the lucky charm hopper. This frog is the basis for the Jin Chan (Money Frog) prosperity charm often used in feng shui. They are found in China, the Philippines, and South East Asia where they farmed and harvested as food. Good fortune will come to you if you do NOT eat lucky frog.

You may have met certain rowdy individuals who happen to have the aforementioned characteristics, but I assure you they are not all like that. #notallgreens #greenlivesmatter #itsnoteasybeinggreen

Well, I don't agree. What might you have against green people who live in swamps?
