"Breviceps fuscus" - the spirit of Grumpy Cat lives on. This less-than-happy frog is found only on the Cape Fold Belt in South Africa. They are a burrowing frog, which means they lay their eggs in holes that they dig. Also, they have no tadpole stage, so the baby frogs come out fully formed. (But why are they so grumpy? Because no one blessed the rains down in Africa)

"Bufo surdus" - I am become deaf. Quite the ubiquitous little toad, they're found in Iran (obviously), Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. They're especially prevalent in the Kirkuk region of Iraq. So much so that US soldiers often report them hanging out in old drain pipes. (Note: Iz not spy, iz fren. No shoot plz)
