It was the first thing that came to mind when I thought of an anti-bot uprising.

Um, you said we should rise up against the bots...? (I may have taken it a bit too literally)

The Butlerian Jihad, a.k.a the Crusade against Thinking Machines from 'Dune.' This illustration was used in the movie Dune (1984) directed by David Lynch.

I don't. It's a quote from 'Breaking Bad.' I guess I should've put in quotation marks. My bad.

Frogs in Fiction #4 - Boiling Frog Fable 1 comments

***DISCLAIMER: Do NOT attempt this!***

Though its origin is unknown, and its premise has been disproven, this story still remains one of most cited metaphors for creeping normality, or the slippery slope.
*
The story goes that frog thrown into a boiling pot will immediately jump out. But if a pot in gradually heated with the frog inside it, said frog will allow themselves to be boiled alive.
*
Experiments have shown this not to be the case, as the frog will invariably jump out if the water in the pot gets too hot for them. The only time they'll actually stay is if they've had their brains removed prior. (Which does contribute to the validity of this story as a metaphor)

Froggo Fren #102 - False Malabar Gliding Frog 1 comments

"Rhacophorus pseudomalabaricus" - heckin' bamboozler. Also called the Anaimalai flying frog, for the Anaimalai Hills of India to which they are endemic. More than just mere imitators, these frogs are just as capable of soaring away from danger as the true Malabar flying frogs. (That is to say they mostly fall, but use their finger webbing to make sure they hit a tree branch before they hit the ground) Despite their talent, one thing they can't leap from is extinction, as they critically endangered and found only in a 100 km² area. (But at least no one's after them for identity theft)

Despite being featured in only two shorts ('One Froggy Evening' in 1955 and 'Another Froggy Evening' in 1995), he is surprisingly one of the better known Merrie Melodies characters. He was even the mascot of the WB network from 1995 to 2005. His shorts show him singing various rag-time and vaudeville songs with people trying to profit off of it, but ultimately failing. (Ironically, people have made profits due to him by parodying his trademark dance. One of the most preeminent examples being the alien dance in 'Spaceballs')

The gigantic chief toad of Mount Myōboku, this cranky croaker is a supporting character in the Naruto series. As grumpy as he is powerful, he will only offer help to those he deems worthy. And, wouldn't you know it, only three people have met ever met his criteria: Jiraiya (Naruto's teacher), Minato Namikaze (Naruto's dad), and Naruto himself (Boruto's dad).
