Frogs in Fiction #7 - The Easter Frog 1 comments

A short children's book published in 2010, it tells the story of Jimmy Flieza and how he almost got the Easter Bunny's job. (Some sources say this happened after Flieza retired from the Frog Mafia)

Frogs in Fiction #6 - Poliwrath (Pokémon) 1 comments

One of the final evolutions of Poliwag, and number 62 in the Pokédex, this Water/Fighting tadpole Pokémon is a strong swimmer who hits hard. Sadly though, despite their imposing physique and stamina, they're not very strong competitively in the traditional games (at least according to False Swipe Gaming) However, they are quite good in Pokémon Go, being a great Tier 2 pick in the Ultra League. (And yes, the one in the picture is MY Poliwrath. Coincidentally, they're my all-time favorite Pokémon)

@mr_pigeonwizard
Wow. Still, dogs can carry rabies which has an extremely high fatality rate, and no one hates puppies.

Yeah, it is from London. And I don't get why people would hate or even dislike them. Sure, they can make a mess sometimes, but otherwise they're perfectly friendly and docile.

Froggo Fren #103 - Mimic Poison Frog 3 comments

"Ranitomeya imitator" - truly a master of bamboozle. The picture above shows the frog's various color morphs and how they each imitate other species of the "Ranitomeya" genus. Since their discovery in the 1980s, they've been one of the most heavily studied species of poison frogs. Quite unusually for frogs, it was found that they are both monogamous, and that they care for their tadpoles. (That is when they don't elope with some other frog under an assumed identity)

Frogs in Fiction #5 - Frogs and Flies (Atari 2600) 2 comments
happy_frog · 4 years ago
A simple, yet nonetheless engaging game developed by Mattel Electronics, and published in 1982 for the Atari 2600 game console. It's a port of an earlier game for the Intellivision called Frog Bog. The objective of the game is pretty staightforward: hop around and gather more flies then the other player. (When old frogs saw kids playing this game, they'd say that in their day they played it for real all the time and that their lives depended on it)
