Known as Keroro Gunso in Japan and originally published as a manga (1999 - present) this is the humorous, pop culture laden story of a group of five frog-like aliens (the Keroro Platoon) who try to take over the Earth but are constantly side-tracked by meaningless distractions. It's still pretty popular and has had numerous adaptations, including a 358 episode anime, and several movies and video games. (Obviously though, it's not the most realistic story around. I mean a sergeant leading a platoon... consisting of five... Clearly they were not aiming for accuracy)

They are great. I'd call them torpedo fish, but it turns out that's something else entirely.

"Dendrobates tinctorius" - nicknamed tincs by those in the frog-rearing business. Despite what their name might suggest they're actually doing quite well, being wide-spread throughout Guyana, French Guyana, Suriname and Brazil. At 5 cm (about 2 in) in length, they are one of the biggest poison dart frog species, though not one of the deadliest. Still, their poison can cause pain, cramps and irritation, so they are best left alone. An interesting facet about their sexual dimorphism is that females have circular toe pads, while the males have heart-shaped ones. (It is believed males evolved them to better touch a potential mate's heart)
