Tanabata or the Star Festival is a Japanese celebration of the union of Orihime and Hikoboshi, two deities who were cursed and only allowed to meet once a year. The date of observance varies from region to region but festivities begin on the 7th of July, and include fairs and fireworks displays.

Just do a bit of research. Norse mythology is pretty extensive, and it's been widely studied. Of the top of my head, here's a few titles: "Fields of Surtr," "Howl of Fenrir," "Death of Baldur," and "The Shattered Runestone."

"Pelophylax lessonae" - here's a little lessonae in froggery. Found primarily in the UK, Norway and Sweden, these frogs know how to keep cool and get the cue ball in the side pocket. Though not endangered, their populations are declining and they are protected in England. Interestingly they are capable of producing the fertile hybrid species "Pelophylax kl. esculentus" (common water frog) by mating with marsh frogs (Pelophylax ridibundus) It's assumed that the two species marsh be pooling their resources for the common water good.

Quite the milestone. Honestly, I thought I would have quit a long time ago. And I probably would have if it weren't for all the positive feedback.
