Happy Presidents' Day! 6 comments
happy_frog · 3 years ago
In the U.S. the third Monday of February is used to mark George Washington's birthday (he was actually born on the 22nd) and it also celebrates all of the presidents. Which is why it's also known as Presidents' Day. And for the first time in four years, people don't have to be ashamed of it, so that's a nice bonus.

Pictured is the 1st president's official portrait. I like how annoyed he looks. It was probably painted right after John Adams told him he was gonna form the Federalist Party. Remember kids, daddy George said no parties.

So, in Fate/Grand Order (it's a game) your Servants (units) give you gifts for Valentine's, and this is one such gift. And some mad lad/lass decided to make them IRL.

Today people in China and other Asian countries including Vietnam and Korea celebrate the Lunar New Year, also called the Spring Festival.
*
I guess in Poland people celebrate by getting high on cow-caine and then proceeding to moo-ve it, moo-ve it.

Very crass way to put it, but no. While there is DNA evidence that modern humans (with the exception of those born in Africa) have some Neanderthal genes, the likely reason for their extinction was being outcompeted by Homo Sapiens when the latter settled in Europe.

Ah, good wholesome kid-friendly stuff. Just the kind of thing to read before bed. To be fair, it's not like fairy tales from other countries are any better (see Pinocchio and The Little Mermaid).
