Most bury themselves in foliage, or underground and partially freeze themselves (some like the wood frog - Rana sylvatica - can survive even if 65% of the water in their body is frozen) and greatly slow down their metabolism, essentially going into hibernation.

I've been feeling pretty down this week. However, seeing this little frog on the sidewalk in the park did improve my mood. Another thing I found kinda funny is that the gates to said park are registered in Pokémon Go as a Pokéstop called "Beam me up, Scotty!".

That's probably true. I do remember playing a mobile game for 6 years because one of the characters in the ads looked like Harry Potter. Coincidentally, the game is made by French people.
