Froggo Fun R #1 - May I Offer You a Nice Frog? 2 comments

My last Froggo Fun series had 550 entries. I'd say that's pretty good. Let's see how far this one makes it. Long times users already know what to expect, but for the newer ones, this series shall feature frog-related pics, comics, memes, or any other media.
*
What does the R stand for though? Ressurection, Revival, Respawn... take your pick. Other names I considered include Froggo Fun 2: Electric Froggaloo and The Re-Frogganing.

Thank you. I have seen the mentions as well. It's nice to know people were thinking about me.

Thought you got rid of me, huh? Well, think again. A new year calls for renewed froginess. As such, I shall start posting again. I won't be resuming my old series since it's been too long (I know, try to contain your soul-shattering disappointment) but hopefully I'll still find something nice to share. Here's to 2022 being slighty less sucky than last year!

I didn't need to last year, but it seems I do this year. And it's not just because it's getting colder. Unfortunately, I do have a life outside this site. I know, I know, hard to believe. Nonetheless, it has reared its ugly head, and I don't know when it will lower it. I'll still check in every now and then. I just won't be posting or be as active as usual. I apologise for the unforseen forthcoming frog draught, but I trust in everyone's ability to power through it.

Thank you. It's nice to see that there are people here still committed to spreading positivity, as opposed to bile.

Gratitude Journal Week 23 - Apples 2 comments

The forbidden fruit... that you can buy for cheap at any grocery store. I did find myself having a hard time deciding between these, and grapes and bananas. But since apples are usually cheaper, I tend to get them out of the three. Also, apparently they help you stay awake.
There use to be a sort of apples called Honey Crunch. I haven't seen them in years. Do they just not grow or sell them anymore?

Super Sunday Week 13 - Jinx (DC) 1 comments

This entry should have been posted last Sunday, but for some reason I couldn't do that then. Wouldn't you know the 13th entry would give me trouble (it was Jinx'ed, if you will).
*
The Jinx I'm most familiar is the one from the original Teen Titans animated series (pictured). If I remember, she was pretty snarky and she led a team called the H.I.V.E. Five which actually did manage to beat the Teen Titans during its first appearance. Later on, she changed sides and became a hero. And her powers were probability manipulation (basically causing bad luck).
The comic book Jinx is radically different. For one thing she's an adult and she's Indian. For another, her powers include manipulation of elemental and magical energy and the ability to dissolve matter and cause ground tremors. She is still usually a part of a five-man team called the Fearsome Five.
Neither versions have their real name revealed. (It's probably bad luck to do so.)

Normally I wouldn't bring this up because I try not to depress people. But if what you said is true, then you may understand how I feel.
I lost someone to COVID as well. It happened right around the time the vaccines started rolling out (I think it was May). She could have been saved but she wasn't. I hadn't seen her in years, but I was still sick with grief for 4 days. I could barely move, I had to force myself to eat.
But that was just me, I can't imagine how people who lost someone actually close to them must have felt.

@bluelagoon You're right. Just a heads up though. I really wouldn't bother with these kinds of people. Facts...tend not to agree with them.

That's pretty cool. I remember having a Gnome Warlock at one point, too. Can't remember what I called him or what he specialised in though.

It's so surreal to think that WoW is still a thing after 15 years. What's your Main?

In case anyone's curious, COVID numbers are indeed on the rise in Florida: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/florida-covid-cases.html

Also, that's a good choice for a state, not just because of the Florida Man memes, but because apparently COVID can have lasting effects on the male reproductive system: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33522983/

Not sure how one obtains these. Therefore I shall continue pushing the boundaries of froginity until I get them.
