During WWII, there were several Canadian regiments that kicked serious ass, took terrible losses and dealt out much more than they got. Canada got one of the D-Day beaches, while the US and England got two each. Far from insignificant.

If they
-Celebrate your wins
-You feel energized after seeing them
-Support your goals
Then you must be a Nazi as well, so for *you*, that's still green flags.

"Scientists."
"Dude, my hypothesis is that this series of motions will feel good."
"Bro, this is the Scientific Method. We need to *test* that hypothesis. Like, repeatedly...to...uhhh...get a statistically significant sample size."

Many years ago, my company implemented a "Fun At Work" philosophy, based on the Seattle Fish Market, where they throw fish around and people come from all around to watch that. People who have fun at work better serve their customers, produce better returns for the company, etc. So, my company gave every employee a sheet of fish stickers. Maybe retail businesses can connect fun and customer engagement, but this was a tier 1 automotive electronics company.
Then the automotive and electronics markets were bad, so we got two raises over the course of seven years. Not that much fun. I still have the stickers, though. I never figured out what to stick them on at work for fun engagement.
So, "add stickers to your boulder for fun" isn't really far-fetched.

She's super-complimentary now because you're still "together." The jabs will come when you aren't.

Having social media where people can share what they're thinking didn't really revolutionize the way we think, but having people able to communicate their thoughts really revealed the lack of thinking that was there all along but just hidden.

Two thoughts:
1. That's not a very memorable or significant moment to memorialize in a post.
2. If you can find joy in simple everyday moments, you're ahead of many people.
And like the two wolves, the winner of these two competing thoughts is "the one that you feed." So, which feeds better: A feeling that the moment is not significant enough, or an actual literal footlong hot dog?

Also, that parking space is reserved for "Green Vehicles," so he's technically right to park there. And "technically right" is the best kind of right.

Somewhere along the line, he picked up that this particular type of dinosaur was a "brontosaurus."
That's why I never used baby talk on my kids. Not that an 18 month old was likely to pick up all the adult vocabulary, or that they'd understand the logical reasoning about why they couldn't run into the street, but at some point they *would* have that vocabulary and logical reasoning, and I just didn't know when that would be.
Plus, a lot of "baby talk" makes me want to puke. Huh; maybe that's why babies spit up all the time--it's the baby talk that they're subjected to.

Engineers and Physicists can make better music than musicians and artists can make planes and neutron colliders.
Although Boeing seems to be trying to disprove that.
