Could this be used to track fishing efficiency vs moon cycle, temp & pressure, because I've got a friend who wants an app for that?

In Europe high speed rail works b/c once you get to destinations you can literally WALK the last km or two, no prob. In U.S, get to end train station and you're 5 - 15 miles away with no car, 83 other people are using the Ubers, and walking means through the crack dealer's hood which congregate around train b/c of low property cost. Plus gasoline in U.S. is ~ 5 - 70% cheaper than Europe, 2 - 3 times as available, and, most regrettably, Americans tend to live for the destination rather than the trip. Thus why US cars are packed with cupholders and stuff, rather than memories.

That's pretty amazing coming from someone who doesn't use the national power grid, public streets, civil potable water or sanitary sewer OR the very INTERNET .. which were all paid for by taxes. Does your hand hewn wooden tablets arrive by messenger bird? Know where doesn't pay taxes? Antarctica, the moon, and Mars.

Metric is preferred because it is vase 10.. but technically, it is still a measure of convenience. Volume of water vs weight of water at gravitational constant of .... 9.81 m/s/s? Not 10? Of how the ancients failed us! Wait.. we can fix it by changing the length of a second, right? I mean time is all base 10.. noooo.. base 60? Again?
I digress. In grad school I took an afternoon to attempt to "metric-fy" time to make this adjustment. 100 seconds to a minute, 100 minutes to an hour, maybe 20 hours to a day, 5 days a week. Stupid Earth and solar system isn't perfect.. and that bothers my OCD.

Fascinating idea, especially as mascot. Christians cannot speak ill of them as "God created all life" and yet they were not on the Ark with Noah because Antarctica floats.

Once again ladies and gentlemen... @guest_ (applause). Yes, fractions make up SAE because that is comfortable for life. But fractions of an inch are where I say no. Ask which is larger 3.175 or 3.572mm... easy. How about 1/8 or 9/64 inch? Are you sure? Some SAE units had good runs but we've evolved technologically enough to do better. Wrenches can be metric without people being butthurt. If not, I suggest a new SAE unit based upon the width of my fist, almost exactly 110 mm or 4.3307 inches. 10mm = .11 fist, 9 mm = 0.09 fist.. easy decimals.. easy convert to metric.. anyone complain.. they can get a whole 1.00 fist in the mouth.
Next, well discuss why TIME has no metric or SAE conversion and how the US Navy controls you daily lives.

Every weekend I go to church (yes, Catholic) and sit through one priest's weekly rant. I've kept track and every time he starts its "Political Rant #73" ... #74"... every week he tell who is to blame and who we should all hate... just like Jesus would do... right? The other priest, Father 'shorty' (is like 5'1") always good stories about being a better person, doing good, finding heart... not around much anymore. Think I want to join crusade, on the side of the Persians.

Still, the look in the bird's eye is saying "Holy Jesus its wrapped all around me. Don't panic, don't panic, keep a firm grip, don't loose the head, you've done this a hundred times (internally screaming: WHY ARE WE TRYING TO EAT A SNAKE AGAIN!? THEY FREAK ME THE HELL OUT!) ... OK... I'm just gonna bend down real quick.. and bite its head"

Y'know those stores that ask you to round up your payment to the nearest dollar to support this or that charity? They keep that money and then make a bulk donation for tax credit. THEY donate billions of dollars.. which you gave them for free.
