I never said they're all good, I've been pulled over by cops before who were either total doofs or in one case a total arse. I'm not sure you really read what I said or your personal opinion is clouding your responses. You're also making this sound like something out of a bad movie. If you're experiencing something like that in your town then you need to report it to the state troopers or even better the Texas Rangers. I will say that most people dont sign up to run towards the bullets, drunks, meth heads, and gangbangers for the crappy pay check and the possibility of getting their head blown off at a traffic stop. Yeah there are assholes out there, like with any organization or profession, but the majority of the folks out there signing up to be first responders are doing it to help their community with their own two hands.

So look I get that US healthcare charging and expenses are out of control and for a number of reasons, but I dont know if trying to replicate the Canadian model would be great in the long run.

So look there are pro's and con's to the socialized market in Canada, but ITS FAR from perfect and ideal more for people who arent actually sick that often. Specifically, the public health services will actually ration certain more modern treatments as they are much more expensive. If you have cancer you are much more likely to get a 10-year-old chemo treatment versus targeted proton therapy. God forbid you need an orthopedic consult (one of the most common) because by the .Gov reports from the Canadian government itself the average wait time is 40 weeks... that's for just the CONSULT and does not include diagnosis and treatment.

You hear about doctors in Canada being paid huge sums of money to practice medicine but those sort of salaries are usually reserved for the ones who head up public service programs... and after you take into account the high taxes, most doctors in Canada make just a bit more than your run of the mill software engineer.

All due respect, but I have a lot of Canadian friends and that level of care isnt common. A buddy of mine royally messed up his arm, went to a clinic, sat and waiting for 6 hours, only to tell him after the appointment that they would have to schedule scans/x-ray series... but that the earliest they could schedule it was 6 months out. This isnt even the exception to the rule but very common. I think where socialized medicine sees some positive effects is in the negotiation of medicine/pharmaceuticals because the government basically says yeah no we arent going to pay your 2000% margin... but with the vast majority of other services you're not going to get great or quick care. Canada specifically has seen a huge exodus of physicians over the last 8 years specifically because they can go to almost any country and make more money.

Yeah all due respect I dont know where you are at in Texas but troopers can and have been sued for something like that. Plus most state troopers are now required by law to have video and audio going. I also personally know several state troopers and they're not going to willy-nilly perform a vehicle search. On the other side of the coin, it's extremely easy to sue and in most cases all it takes is a strict judge for that troopers entire career to be shot down the drain. Your response make me feel like you've got a really bad personal experience with this, did something happen?

Nope, not really. Domesticated tigers are extremely common in many places in Texas. Certain city ordinances in certain areas may require you to get an exotic pet license... but most city's wont care. Now at the same time requirements for owning one are a LOT higher than owning a dog or cat. If you're not allowing that tiger a large space to run/exercise, providing it plenty of food, and maintaining overall care you are much more likely to see it seized by the state and rehomed in a sanctuary. Animal abuse is a felony in Texas so owning an exotic animal just puts you more on the radar... so you better treat it like a got' dang king/queen.

The NSFW is a moot point for the most part. There have been a LOT of posts that probably should be, but arent.

Looks beautiful to me, but then again I'm a Texan so... that sort of storm is much more common for me than some.

There is a LOT more violence behind this then is being noted. The government whipped people into such a hysteria that white farmers were being violently murdered, raped, having their limbs cut off and left to bleed out. Many local white farmers started running themselves through private training being given by ex-IDF soldiers... but in most cases they would just leave the country.

I dont know how you get to where the cops blame the kid, it looks more like a general statement. I very seriously doubt the driver wasnt charged with something, and I very seriously doubt the police department blames the 10 year old kid.
