If there are plot holes up the ass and previous continuity is thrown out and the writers bend logic and lore to push an agenda or force an idea, it can very well be objectively bad. You can like it. But it can still suck

Yes, but to my knowledge they where capital ship exclusive. Not saying the technology didn't exist but the movie is so full of plot holes it can go unnoticed
