Humans: do human things
Other humans: surprised Pikachu face.
I'm not trying to be an ass. There are not exactly any reservations for any Celts or Vikings.

Im not trying to be a jerk here. Free market capitalism would chew us all up in a heartbeat if left unchecked. It should be regulated enough for us to thrive while the economy continues to grow at a slower pace. We need to have a conversation on where that balance is.

Would a buy back program not count as protection? Because for some it would. And for others there is always something else. Why stop at protection? Why stop at roads and transportation and education? Why not housing? Why not food and water and energy? Why not high speed internet and Netflix and Disney plus? Where does it end sir? I could stand to lose some weight, but why should a pay for a gym membership when I could be taxed back to health?

So one example you list under your paid for by your taxes is protection. And for the most part that is fair. We should have well trained and equipped troops, law enforcement and firefighters. I'm totally for this no matter where you are. But where I'm from our culture strives for personal responsibility. We have the right and the duty to defend ourselves, our property and our nation LAWFULLY. So imagine my surprise when individuals from hundreds of miles away of whom I've never meet or had any connection too other than we live under the same sky and the same flag want to buy back my firearms via law enforcement

And I'm not trying to be a jerk here. I'm not exactly for mega corporation's and all of their BS. There is must be a balance of free market and power given to the government. And it is a delicate balance.

Maybe don't take a complicated and nuanced issue and pretend it's the simple and obvious answer

Uh, someone may have to inform those kangaroos, but there are guns in Colorado, like a lot of guns. you see there are two kinds of guns in America, gangster style, and turn you into ground meat at 500 yards/ meters. Colorado has both.

Well to be fair, getting a highschool diploma meant you where going places. Before the 50's all of my family went to school until 8th grade and there was no shame in that. Truth be told, I wish the private sector would overhaul and streamline their internship and apprenticeship programs

If you are going to college and you need to knock out generals, try to do them at a community college or tech/trade school, it's almost half the price and can usually be done online.

Really? I thought the medical and pharmaceutical care issues in the us are much more complicated and nuanced, with valid agreements from many views and understandings. Greed, gotchya

My point is I'm pro responsibility but on a cultural level conservatives need to step up their game and stop half assing the freedom to defend yourself. Do it right or be limited.

For Christ sakes, in 1810's it was ruled constitutional for civilian's to own god damn cannons.
Also out of the over 180 nation's only 3 of them defend the right to bear arms, it's not perfect and we are working on making it better, but if you can't stand it chances are it's easier to move to Canada.
But I do also think that the only way to get a hold of and own a military style rifle, you should be a part of a state organized milita and be regularly drilled and trained.
I trust my neighbors to defend me more than any cop or state trooper. But all my neighbors could stand to drop fifty pounds and be halfway drilled into a national guard man

If "smart" where a coin, one face would be intelligence, the other wisdom. Without both are you really smart?

Humans are the most adaptable beings on the planet, you'll get used to it. Hope you don't have a mental breakdown to get to that point though, but you should get there.
