It's fine if he's organized as a sole proprietor. If he owns a corporation or an LLC, he'll have to approve the vacation in writing first. Either way, you can work around it.

In English, it's just saying that the derivative of e to the x still magically equals e to the x. The joke is if you repeatedly club e to the x with d/dx you aren't changing it from e to the x. Most anything else you derive will come out a lot differently.

Don't let anyone take advantage of your niceness. Look for the best in people. As you jump out into the world, be selective with whom you spend time. As a tall dude, my feet hang off the end of any bed. I can't imagine the footboard-only thing and having my head hanging off the bed instead.

I spent the first two weeks of August house sitting for a friend, and her bed has a headboard and a footboard. I spent my nights scrunched up between them and I kept having vivid dreams about jumping off a diving board or a pier, and I'd jolt awake and be "walking" across the footboard.
