Wow, uh okay. The marinade would be good; you might want to use less chili flakes. Instead of the last half of the video, maybe do this:

They used top round, which is fine but feel free to use London broil or bottom round. Slice the steaks against the grain, 2cm thick, and marinate them overnight.

Use a food dehydrator or a smoker (with mesquite or hickory wood) at 110°C/230°F until the jerky has a nice bite-through. Maybe 4-8 hours, depending on how thick it is. It'll be way cheaper than the jerky from the store, and it's freaking delicious.

Fun fact: if you own a housecat and die, once they get hungry, they will usually eat your eyes and lips.
