It's only pics identified by the NCMEC as child porn. But, holy smokes, building a machine that sifts through your user data never seems to work out awesome. I am surprised Apple took such an openly aggressive and exploitative step against privacy. But they'll now be able to cut in to that advertising share Google and Microsoft already openly exploit.

.1mb/s is 100kb/s which was insanely fast back then. You only got those speeds at a college campus or something. At home, you'd be happy with speeds of 14kb/s (or .014mb/s).

@felixo77, I was telling @famousone why I thought @bluelagoon probably jumped to housing discrimination. I understand John Oliver isn't a primary source. Frankly, I engaged because this is an obvious problem and I just wanted to see how @famousone handled it. He did not disappoint lol

For the confused: in the 2019-2020 flu season in the US, there were 22,000 flu related deaths. In the 2020-2021 COVID season (which is a massively viriulent, deadly flu), there were 633,000 deaths. It is the flu. It is a MUCH more deadly strain of the flu. Whole hospital wings are full of COVID patients. That hasn't happened for 100 years, since the last novel flu virus entered humanity.

@bluelagoon is referring to a real thing. John Oliver tackled it a couple weeks ago, if you're interested in learning the history of the modern mortgage:

It's actually depleting 20% more slowly than it was in the eighties, and the big hole is closed for now :)
