Sounds about right, at least 8 people in my neighborhood was shooting them off every night for 2 weeks straight. For 2 or more hours at a time. I know at least 2 houses were involved every one of those nights.

At the same time, it's ok to only bring your children to your choosen church. Just explain the why of the ceremonies as well as the how; and do your best to answer their questions when/if they ask about other religions.

What guest_ said. Know your goal, in this case a happy marriage with a loving significant other; but live in the now. Go out and meet people, make friends, make a good home for yourself first. More will build upon that, so don't fantasize about the life you want too much, work to achieve it instead.
