But osmolarity depends only on the number of solute particles, not on their type. So why would iodide have a greater effect? Unless we're talking about selective transport across a membrane, in which case maybe iodide's larger ionic radius makes a difference?
Why don't they add grapefruit extract to drugs so people won't need as much of 12 comments

Neat! How were you nanoencapsulating it the EGCG (if you're at liberty to say)? And how did you keep the catecholic moieties from complexing to anything they got near? (I just realized these might have the same answer.)

Dyes are usually fixed to a fabric using a mordant, so they don't fall off of the item in just soapy water.

Boil pennies in zinc sulfate solution while in contact with a piece of zinc metal to plate the penny with zinc. Heat the plated penny to 300 C to alloy the zinc with the copper on the surface of the penny to produce a brass plating that looks like gold.

I once threw a cabbage in the air... when it landed it rolled down a hill away from me. It took a few years to get over being ditched like that.
