Perhaps "vaporize" is a bit dramatic, BUT... Assuming a common iron meteor, with a diameter of about 30cm (from the comic) impacting earth on dense rock (concrete, from the city) at an angle of about 60 degrees (from the comic); I get a rim-to-rim crater diameter of about 78 meters.

Perhaps not a self-sustaining fire, but you can absolutely char the surface of a diamond. In fact the oxidation of diamond is spontaneous at standard temperature (25 C).

It's way easier if you use a bandsaw to cut the spine off the book then run the pages through a double sided copier set for "save as .pdf"

What's really funny is when someone tries to describe their ethnicity in fractions but they use denominators that are not members of the series 2^n. (It's impossible because every person must have come from 2 biological parents.)

These are hardly experiments... What hypothesis are they testing? I would classify these as activities or demonstrations.
