Look at the number of people leading worthless, unproductive lives on welfare. Here's something that I think goes right along with adrianpeterson's comment: if we gave away houses like this to homeless people, many many hardworking, but still lower class individuals would cease to work, because "look what they have and they don't work for it or pay for it, so why should I?" This is a problem that has already been created by welfare in the United States. When someone loses a job and gets government assistance, often times it is better than when they were working, so they never get off it. It spirals out of control into a whole society that thinks that they are owed something.
