I'm a zookeeper and I can say if an animal doesn't always listen he isn't considered stupid...quite the other way around. I constantly joke that I prefer to work with Sea lions over dolphins because "they're too smart they try to train me LOL". An animal is considered intelligent by how quickly it solves puzzles...not by how often it does as it's asked

They're not assholes and it's not bullshit. They're under no obligation to give anything at all it's their money. This is the perfect example of "those with a lot should give to those with little" WHY?

It's not a good idea to interact with animals in the wild. It teaches them unnatural behaviors and can even make them dependent of humans for food. I trust you and many people to treat them right but not everyone will. Like baby dolphins bring passed around for selfies. If you want to interact with an exotic species do it at a facility with the trained staff to do it in a safer setting for the animal...an animal that is more accustomed to interaction
