At my job we weren’t supposed to ask people to sign up for a membership but we had certain quotas of them to fill. So, one day I asked everyone who seemed cool enough to get it “hey, wanna be a [store] comrade? All it takes is an email and phone number”. I got loads of sign ups that day, and I so don’t miss having to do that. People are bitchy crazy nightmares when an email is involved
