I'm confused. Did anyone think that was a picture of some random table, and not a picture of Jupiter with a wood background?

Have you all ever really noticed some of these pokemon heights? A gengar is 4'11 and a Nidoking is 4'7. Machamp is 5'3 (Of course I had to look these up since I knew a lot of them were strange), but my favorite is what I heard years ago and still remember when a friend told me that Golduck and Charizard are the same size at 5'7. Oh, and Mewtwo is 6'7, a whole foot taller than Charizard.

My friend and her boyfriend got a puppy together and named him Wick because that's the first movie they saw together.

It's from the book called Phenomena: A Book of Wonders by John Michell. I'm not sure what his sources were, but there were a lot of stories in there about strange coincidences, and some hard to explain happenings. Pretty cool, though.

For the first part I thought it meant don't make friends with senior citizens and I was like "what are they graduating? Do you mean they leave you because they die?" Then I kept reading and it made more sense.

Can you imagine something that looked like this slowly snapping your way while you're out swimming one day, and then you realize the bitch is about 10 feet wide? I'd be swimming away with about 3 feet of intestine sticking out my butt from shitting myself so hard.

I think a lot of us American FSers don't immediately understand that these 4 finals are 3 days in a row in November and not the 11th of Jan, Feb, and March. It took me a minute to realize that. That's horrible, but I can say it's the same over here, too.

I've seen a similar post before and it really got me thinking. I believe that everyone should go out and live their life and make memories and travel and all that because when you do meet that someone (soulmate or not), can you imagine down the road with that person, running out of stories? I'd hate to meet someone amazing, and love their personality and hear some good stories, both amazing and funny, but then after even a few months or years realize they have nothing else to tell about their life before me. I would also hate to be the person who runs out of stories and anecdotes way too early in a relationship when the other person still has so much to say and I can't really relate or anything, only listen and enjoy their stories. I know that if you're with someone for decades, the stories and memories of before you met will eventually all be told, but wouldn't you want to be able to learn new things about each other for as long as you can? I know I would.

I've seen this picture a few times without the "Japan Fact" and I'm pretty sure that person just ate their ice cream into the shape of the scary face.

Smelling something familiar is such a weird feeling 7 comments

Scent is the sense most related to memory. I get that feeling all the time, like randomly remembering a friend from third grade or an old vacation spot. One time though, I had this job for a few months and every once in a while I would get a whiff of something that I never found the cause of. It wasn't a particularly strong smell, and it wasn't good or bad, like the smell of oranges, but it always gave me this strange feeling like I was forgetting something. It actually caused me to stop in my tracks the first time I smelled it and after a couple of months and having had this sensation a handful of times, I now believe that it's related to some memory from when I was very young, and I think probably younger than any actual memories I have. I'm guessing I was maybe an infant because I have a couple of memories from when I was very young, but not before 4 or 5.
I may be wrong, but either way, I love catching scents that take me back to things I had forgotten about.

Do any of you know the episode of Tales From the Crypt when these 2 twins both liked the same guy but couldn't decide who he would be with so they just cut him in half down the middle and both got half of him?

Looking at it now, it's obvious. When I was 14 and it only showed it for 1 second before moving on with the episode, my not yet fully developed brain did not connect that to being a leg in pantyhose. I just thought it was his head being squished up because the tights were...tight.

I'm not trying to call BS or anything and accuse the photos of being fake or biased or whatever, but as someone who has had many conversations with people about this, I'm just really surprised. If these are items that these people take with them day to day or even just to and from work, that's 90% of them have knives and the rest have a gun or a taser or whatever else. If it's true and it's like "oh you're a fool, everyone and their grandma keeps on at all times on their body" then that's wild. Also it means the people I know should be more prepared for the "just in case". Maybe I'll give them some of my knives.

I like to collect knives. It's only a hobby, but it's enough of one that it comes up in conversation fairly often. What are your hobbies, what do you like to do for fun, etc. or even if someone is just at my house and sees the ones I have. Because of this, I'm shocked that literally every picture here aside from 2 (and they may just not be visible in the photo or I missed them) has a knife in it. I've lived in a few states and in all sorts of areas both urban and rural, and I've lived in nice neighborhoods and shitty ones. There are plenty of people who carry knives with them, but I honestly thought as I scrolled that this was going to end up being some sort of ad for pocket knives. I've talked to plenty of people about owning them and whatnot, and so many people both guys and girls have never owned a knife that isn't made for the kitchen or if they do own one, never carry it with them.

I like it. Sure people who have wristwatches in that "inbetween stage" of quality that does show dates but isn't able to be updated like an iWatch or whatever will have to get new wristwatches and that's unacceptable. I mean mine cost me $14 and who has that kind of cash lying around to replace something if it becomes obsolete?
Wall clocks don't show dates and if they do, it'll become worth a lot more to "Gregorian Calendar Collectors" once that becomes a thing, just like everything else that shows the date that can't be updated. But cameras, pcs, cell towers, and a lot of other things can for sure be updated, just not in the same way one would sync their tablet over wifi to update it or whatever. Anyways, I'm not saying it's a perfect plan, either. My birthday is on the 29th, so what happens then? Do all of the 29, 30, 31 birthdays get moved to the first of the next month? It has bugs, but generally in the long run, I can see some form of this working.

It kind of looks like a few thin layers of wood, made to look like the book. That would be easier to make perfectly round I think, but that's really only a guess.
