Maybe they didn't offer to hire you because you gave the guy a firm handjob.

I also thought that was pretty expensive, so check it out. Where I live in suburbia, USA, it's
about 24.99 for a 30 pack of budweiser. that's 83 cents a can. This monstrosity here (4700/3240) runs you $1.45 per can. If you bought 3,240 cans just made up of a whole bunch of 30 packs, it would cost you $2,699.99. You're literally paying $2,000 extra for the convenience and "coolness factor" of having the biggest case of beer there is. Wild.

I did skip ahead through maybe a quarter of the video so I may have missed it if he does explain, but if it's only a few dozen people who do this and doesn't represent the culture of Japan, why would have have been arrested if he tried to help?

I had this exact thought when I saw the movie! I was thinking "I bet he only did it because they told him he would be a tall as fuck dwarf."

Wouldn't the mother have to be a mermaid with a fish upper body like in the picture and have human legs?

Oooh this reminds me of a story. Back in high school I was talking to a friend of mine near the baseball field. The girls softball team is having their practice and we're behind the tall fence by home plate and out of the corner of my eye I see something coming at us from high up. Without saying a word, I stop my friend midsentence with the "hold on a sec" 1 finger, take a step back, catch the ball, throw it back up and over the fence, and say "all right, what were you saying?" My friend was like wtf, and as we walked away I heard one of the girls on the field say "holy shit did you see that? he just caught it with his bare hands and threw it back."
That is the most chad memory I have.

If you like the movie but don't want to read the book, I still recommend reading the sequel, A Dog's Journey

Well I guess there's no reason to say anything otherwise, since clearly you're betterthanme, so I suppose I'll just fuck right off and leave people to enjoy the things they enjoy like music or arguing online. Meh. *shrugs*

Bravo 5 comments
joshary · 7 years ago
Legitimate question here. I can't tell if:
1. the headline was actually changed in the way that he meant, since the photo doesn't seem to show the entire headline's new title,
2. if the "bravo" by OP was sarcastic because it sort of seems like they just added her name and literally that's all, without mentioning the fact that she was a co-writer, or
3. if kumail was being sarcastic from the start by implying "I did not enjoy you covering this, why not make it worse by adding her name so everyone can know even more details about the difficulties we faced"?

Yes! I'm so glad this is a common thing, because it's always confused me when my parents did that, and I never really looked into it but this makes a lot of sense.

I don't understand how that's the whole story. Did they just not get him anything? What was the joke? Clearly it's not a happy ending story, but were they laughing because..."since you were so generous, Santa decided to give your toys to the poor kids too" or "haha there's no santa, stupid" or what?

I don't know if she was sad about it or if that was normal for her for that situation, but I, as a 24 year old guy had to hold back tears. You know how there are times that legitimately upset you, even though in the grand scheme of life, "there are worse things" but still it gets you? Looking back, that's the saddest thing I've seen in years.
Sorry if that was too long and/or sad. Okay, back to the happy funsubs, everyone!

I was working one time at a restaurant and a woman had reserved our "party room" for some event she was hosting (I think she was selling essential oils or something like that). While it's not a huge room and only seats around 14 people, a lot of people reserve it for this reason. When asked how many people for the reservation, she said "well if it only seats 14 or so, I don't think it should be that many, but hopefully close to it. I'd say at least 10." Fast forward to the day of, she arrives early to eat and get set up, has her meal, and waits. For 2 hours this woman was hanging out in this little side room, waiting for someone, anyone, to come listen to her speak about whatever it was. I didn't take care of her, so I didn't notice at first, but as she's walking out the door it suddenly clicks in my brain and I find the server to tells me not one soul showed up, so she finally gave up and paid and left.
