Surströmming is banned at political rallies and demonstrations in Sweden, because in 2014 a group of Nazis had a public assembly. And because they are all about pure Swedish culture, counter protesters showed up and opened up several cans of surströmming in their honor. Needless to say, this cleared everyone out very quickly and was later ruled as to extreme and a violation of Nazis right to free speech.
