Companies typically invest heavily in office space and expect a return on that investment.

As someone who's home is 95% IKEA, I'm surprised this needs to be pointed out. What they mean is that you screw n the screw but not all the way tight, to leave some wiggle room when connecting the other pieces. Then screw them in, but not tight. Last, when the whole thing is put together, you tighten all the screws. Take care not too over tighten since this will break the wood or plastic, and come back a month later and retighten everything, since the wood has moved and settled a bit. This will make even the cheapest IKEA shelf stay good for decades.

In the nineties TV families like the Simpsons or the Bundys (Married with Children) where considered poor. People today work harder than ever, for less money, to afford a lifestyle that people thirty years ago made fun of, and you can't even afford medical attention. That's how bad it's gotten.

Nah, it's too late for the boomers but Gen X might do it ironically, and the Millennials might do it for the lulz.

What's difficult about it? It says it at the bottom of the screen and it's been the quit command for decades on lots of systems.

Yeah, it's almost as if there's some sort of political agenda to roll back rights regardless of who it hurts.
