So true story. I have a friend who has a Pit Bull as her Seizure dog. We have been out and about when people have accused her of “faking being blind” (which she isn’t. It’s her Seizure dog, and they seem to ignore her when she says so because they don’t realise that’s a thing). People have also been downright abusive to her because of the breed of her dog.
Basically. People suck.
And as a side note. It’s gotten worse since people have been talking about “Emotional Support” everything.

HP Lovecraft has been cited as being more racist and agoraphobic than even what was normal at the time. Back then all white people were a little racist, maybe everyone was, but dear old HP was bad even for the time. Which is why all of his stories are about unknown horrors. The man was scared of everything, especially different people.

Nurses and most people who wear scrubs and stand all day wear them. So,not rocket scientist or anything. But I think nurses, vets, and things like that are smarter than the average bear.

I mean, they have a point. People bought into the whole “grain free diet” thing for dogs because people assumed that if they were gluten free, so were their dogs. But now it’s turning out that the Grain Free diets are causing Heart disease in dogs.
And people assume that larger companies like Purina (who is owned by Nestle) are like the devil, when in actuality the larger companies are the ones with actual vets on staff who are checking and making sure that the food is nutritionally sound. Other smaller companies are just branding their foods as safe when no testing has actually gone into it.

Their fluffy coats will actually keep them cool. And never, ever shave a Husky, Pomeranian or any other double coated breed. It does not keep them cool, it does the opposite.
If you live in a hot climate, a more reasonable breed not to get would be a Bulldog. We had 2 come into my job with heat stroke this past summer and we don't even live in a super hot climate. They just can't deal with the heat since they can't breathe and regulate themselves, same for Pugs.
